The Academic Wino is on Vacation!

Well, I’m not sure I’d call it a vacation….

Friday morning, I’ll be traveling north to New York City to attempt marathon #3 by running in The ING New York City Marathon. As a result of this, I will not be posting an article discussions/reviews during that time.

In the spirit of all things exercise, here are two posts related to wine and exercise that I’ve written in the past:

Red Wine and Exercise: Using a Rat Model to Determine Cardiovascular Health Benefits
Tempting Fate: Le Marathon du Medoc

On a unrelated note, I am currently looking for guest writers.  If you are interested, please visit my guest writer page and shoot me an email with some ideas.

On another unrelated note, you may have noticed the new banner at the top of the page (and new logo for those who follow The Academic Wino on Facebook and Twitter).  That was created by the wonderfully talented Cara O’Regan.  I highly recommend her if you are looking for graphic design work.  You may find her portfolio by clicking here.

If you’re curious as to what I’m up to in NYC this weekend, or want to know if I survived the marathon, please follow me on Twitter or “like” me on Facebook!

Next paper review will likely be posted Thursday morning,  11/10/2011.

Cheers!
