Congrats on the WBC Scholarship. I attended the first two in Santa Rosa because I could sleep in my own bed! I noticed on your site that you put out a call for guest writers last year. How did that work for you? I ask because I made a similar request that was mentioned byTom Wark on his blog and it came up empty. I write and publish a bi-monthly wine review magazine focused on West Coast wines. In the past I included articles by guest writers and stopped several issues ago because it became more difficult to get people to commit. Readers have not seemed to miss them, but I am always open to thoughtful research and opinion on US wines.

I did have a couple of interested parties in regards to guest writers, so I’m happy about that. It’s difficult when one is working on a very tiny budget! I wish I had enough money to pay someone on a regular basis, but until then, I’ll have to keep trying my luck at getting writers who don’t mind being paid little (or nothing) for their time and efforts!
