Hello, everyone!
Just a quick check-in today to let you know that starting next week The Academic Wino will be back with all new articles (written by yours truly)! Unless any late-breaking guest posts come into my inbox over the next week, expect to see a new wine research article reviewed on this blog!
These past two months have been quite a whirlwind. The first two weeks were a blur, and the rest has been slowly but surely a stead climb back to a new normal. Just this past week, I started back at my editor job at Wine Industry Insight and Craft Beverage Insights. (What are those, you ask? Well, check them out by clicking on them!). A HUGE thank you to my stand-ins for those publications, Mark and Mary (check out Mary’s site, Vindulge).
Finally, another huge thank you to the many of you who contributed guest posts over the course of my maternity leave. I feel so blessed to have so many of you willing and able to write interesting pieces for my site while I was away, and for keeping the cobwebs from collecting too much!
In case you missed any of them, here is a recap of all the guest writers (and their respective articles) that were featured on the blog since starting my maternity leave:
- Deborah Parker Wong: “The Physiology of Flavor”
- Mo Bazzinni: “On Experiencing the Aromatics of Wine (Barolo and Breathe Rights)”
- Simran Sethi: “An Excerpt from Bread, Wine, Chocolate: The Slow Loss of Foods We Love“
- Kara Sweet: “Legends of the Fall: South Dakota Grape Growing”
- James McWalter: “The Feasibility of Ireland Becoming a Wine Producing Country Due To Climate Change”
- Noelle Allen: “Pinot Grigio with Personality: Dry Extract Is Not a Dry Subject”
- Richard Norton: “Is Wine Really Healthy For You? The Controversy Continues!”
- Giodana Sobel: “Overcoming the Stigma of Biodynamic Wines, Taste, and Practices”
While my maternity leave is technically over, I am always interested in and accepting
guest posts. If you’re interested in writing a guest post for me, feel free to shoot me an email with your topic ideas (becca@academicwino.com).
I hope you all enjoyed these guest writers over the past two months. I’m looking forward to coming back with all new articles next week!
Cheers!
